A couple of years ago, I bought the Mic Parts kit for my SP C-3 Red Badge edition. The kit made my C-3 sound wonderful. However, I didn't have a U-87 for comparison either, but recently I bought a U87 off of e-bay so I could compare the two mics. I did have to fine tune the internal control on the C-3 just a little and now the two mics sound identical. I have kits for another C-3 and two C-1 mics to do in the near future.

Can you show me how to attach the EQ part to the mic? and what do you think about this mic before it was modified with rode nt1000, and what is the rating? thank you

I’m this is years old but for 20 bucks on Ali express for a hobbyist I’d say this not bad if you wanna mod it to see what you can get out of it I’m planning on adding better caps I also see they didn’t use a decoupling cap across the rail but there a space for it. Should be fun when I get it

I bought this amp from ebay brand new and it worked for a minute then it had no sound I couldn't find anyone locally that can fix the amp but I remember it had a very good tone but heavy as hell in weight

Alctron usually buys and rebrands old products so that thing has probably been sitting in some warehouse for years in who knows what condition they kept that stock in. If you're still looking for a mic booster the best budget one that's currently available is the Klark Teknik cm1

i genuinely hate the fact that every single gear demo on the internet has a huge number of dislikes. it just shows that salty boomers go off for no reason and dislike everything. I guess they think they can do better? or that budget gear isn't as good as expensive gear? who knows.
